Cookie Policy
Last updated: 6 October 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how mythical-sands.com (“we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. They can be used to keep you signed in, remember preferences, or track how a website is used. Similar technologies include local storage and embedded content from other websites.
Our approach
We keep things simple: browsing our holiday homes, checking prices and sending a booking request does not place any cookies on your device. We do not use analytics, advertising or social media tracking cookies, and we do not sell or share browsing data. Because we only use strictly necessary cookies, we do not need to ask for your consent with a cookie banner.
Cookies we use
| Cookie | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| ms_session | Keeps our staff signed in to the website’s administration area. It is only set when a staff member logs in and is never set for guests. | Strictly necessary (first party) | 14 days or until sign-out |
Your booking confirmation and payment pages are protected by a private link sent to your email address — no cookie is needed.
Third-party services
- Card payments (Stripe). When you choose to pay by card you are taken to a secure payment page hosted by Stripe, which may use its own strictly necessary cookies for security and fraud prevention. See the Stripe Cookie Policy.
- Maps (OpenStreetMap). Maps on our property pages only load when you click “Show map”. OpenStreetMap then receives your IP address to deliver the map. See the OpenStreetMap privacy policy.
- External links. Links to other websites, such as cycling route maps or Google Maps, are governed by those websites’ own cookie policies once you visit them.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. Blocking cookies will not affect browsing or booking on our website; staff will need cookies enabled to sign in.
Changes to this policy
If we add any cookies that are not strictly necessary — for example visitor statistics — we will update this page and ask for your consent first.
